Philosophy
We believe that the quality of the workmanship in your home should feel as good as, if not better than the property you are custodian of.
We are passionate that promoting bespoke design credentials, means that they are ‘truly’ bespoke – designed and handcrafted to enhance and work with the nuances of your period property, not off-the shelf designs forced to fit.
The high-quality designs we create for you, are both aesthetically beautiful and immensely practical, with a timeless longevity that will continue to get better over the years.
We both grew up in Surrey and are committed to preserving the period houses within our local communities. We decided many years ago to dedicate our creativity energy within Surrey, London and the home counties, and despite requests to complete work across the UK and beyond, our focus remains on creating sustainable outcomes for the many period homes in our locality, based from our showroom in Chiddingfold, Surrey.
Keeping our work local enables us to deliver exceptionally for you, and to form trusted long-term relationships, where accessibility and face-to-face contact is a given.
We employ local, highly skilled master craftsman and design staff; use local material suppliers; and sustainably sourced wood to ensure trusted creative outcomes that feel personal, authentic, invested, and in line with doing our part for the future of our planet.
Sustainable material sourcing & production
Creating a sustainable legacy is an important part of our design ethos. We work closely with our expert material partners to source and hand select, the very best natural materials for your home, whether that be wood or stone.
For each project the provenance, colour, grain, and texture of each material is chosen for its affinity with each space, and each individual customer’s style. We are firm believers that using natural resources in our homes provides a calming backdrop that enhances, restores, and nourishes our own well-being and happiness - as well as impacting positively on the environment. And we choose to only work with suppliers who share our sustainable values.
Our ‘built to last’ design ethic reflects our desire to manage our impact on the environment. We make kitchens and furniture that will stand the test of time and believe in buying once and buying well, to ensure everything that we suggest to a client has longevity, and by-passes our throw away, trend driven culture.
By working with local clients, employing local talent, protecting local artisanal crafts, and producing all our cabinetry and furniture locally – on demand and with sustainable wood (never from overseas), we are consciously building a better future. For our business, our clients, and our local community, each of whom is of huge importance to us.
